I submitted papers twice from my Doctor to have mailbox moved from street location to the front porch on house near front door. All has been good with that. However, I am just giving my opinion and have specifics to report to complain about, as this issue is an ongoing issue. I believe the rotating delivery mail persons sometimes opt out of stopping their truck, turning it off and walking the approx. 20 steps from my curb to my porch. This seems to happen too frequent for my liking. Especially, if it is raining/cold or a saturated yard. I will get "informed delivery" emails that show mail that does not come that specific day.....I know you all say, to wait days to see if it will come, as the Informed Delivery reads "soon to be delivered". But when I see something that is not delivered a lot of time, it is on a bad weather day. Then, I most likely get that same mail the next day or not at all, ever. I am simply asking management to have some open discussion with mail delivery persons to deliver all mail addressed to recipients rain or shine. If the mail is loaded on the truck, it is the PO obligation with staff on duty to deliver that said mail. I have had this suspicion for a long while and stuff has happened recently, but today I am asking managers to speak for the customers on the routes to have mail delivered if mail is on truck. No skipping the customer due to bad weather. Expecting us to wait another day and then many times, it never comes. Mail addressed to resident gets lost in the shuffle. I am not imaging this complaint content. I am not pointing out one carrier or one date of missing mail. I am just bringing an issue to the eyes of management to make sure the carriers know their job and do it 100%. I am one of many customers with mailbox not on the street, but on front of the house.
